New Speakers Program

We're really proud of the people who have agreed to inaugurate our speakers program

October 24, 7:00pm  In the exhibit gallery of the Museum of Badger Army Ammunition

Joan Kenny

Joan started work as an Environmental Engineer at BAAP in 1989 and retired in 2015 after serving for 15 years as Commander’s Representative. She will share her experiences working to protect and clean up the property while navigating through the decommissioning and demolition process.

November 16,  7:00pm  In the exhibit gallery of the Museum of Badger Army Ammunition

Peter Shrake

Peter is well known to us as a former president of BHG. Pete was the Executive Director of the Sauk County History Society when BHG started and a board member after we organized.  He is also a very good historian. He currently serves as archivist and librarian at Circus World Museum in Baraboo. The Big Top is his subject now, but Pete has long focused on the pre-Settlement history of Wisconsin and relations between the US and our Native Americans. That will be his subject on November 16 at 7:00 PM at the Museum.

This will be the last event for 2017. Our 2018 schedule will start in January, speaker and date have not been set.
